Cambio and Warner Bros. Digital Distribution celebrated the premiere of 1st Social Series Aim High last night at Trousdale in West Hollywood last night. The web series stars Jackson Rathbone, Aimee Teegarden and Johnny Pemberton. Basically it focuses around Jackson’s character Nick Green as a double agent spy.

Air crash investigators in Sydney said today it could take up to a year to identify what caused a helicopter crash that killed three Australian Broadcasting Company news veterans. Reporter Paul Lockyer, pilot Gary Ticehurst and cameraman John Bean died when the chopper reportedly exploded Thursday night while they were filming a documentary on Lake Eyre. There was a tourist group in town and apparently a number of them witnessed the incident, so investigators will be talking to many.

Johnny Depp's Infinitum Nihil Makes Disney Deals For 'The Night Stalker' And Paul Revere's Midnight Ride

EXCLUSIVE: Disney and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil are teaming up on two new projects: a feature version of the ’70s TV movie The Night Stalker, and a drama about the Midnight Ride made by Paul Revere to warn Colonial militia of the impending British invasion. Depp is the potential star of both films, and he and his Infinitum Nihil partner Christi Dembrowski will produce.
Like many, Dembrowski and Depp had fond memories of the ABC telepic and series The Night Stalker, and they got Disney’s Rich Ross and Sean Bailey sparked on a pitch for Depp to potentially play tabloid reporter Carl Kolchak. Originated by Darren McGavin, Kolchak was the dogged journalist first seen in the 1972 telepic (where he hunted a killer who was draining the blood of beautiful girls on the Las Vegas strip) and later in the ABC series Kolchak: The Night Stalker. Kolchak’s investigations always seemed to lead him to the doorstep of vampires, zombies, werewolves and aliens. For its time, it was pretty scary stuff. The studio will go out to writers shortly. David Kennedy will be exec producer.

Yesterday the Green Lantern brought us the Blake Lively hype machine but lost in the mix was the fact that Laura Vandervoort and Sarah Shahi (along with Karina Smirnoff) were in attendance too.

Now we all know that Sarah’s got her gig on USA Network for Fairly Legal with a second season in the works; however, Laura was last seen as Lisa on ABC’s V which got canceled. Nonetheless, she’s filmd Bring The Night and is currently filming Ted, a comedy directed by Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. It’s set for a July 2012 release.
