EXCLUSIVE: House executive producer Katie Jacobs is teaming with Groundswell Productions to adapt Kevin Michael Connolly’s memoir Double Take into a feature film. Jacobs plans to direct the movie, which is now out to writers. Michael London’s Groundswell is financing development. Connolly is a photographer, X-Games ski champion and skateboarder who was born without legs. While traveling in Europe in his early 20s, he began taking photos of people who were staring at him — turning the watchers into the watched. The photos became a traveling exhibit that also has appeared at the Smithsonian. Jacobs, repped by CAA and Management 360, has been with Fox’s House since it began in also is developing Sheila Weller’s novel Girls Like Us: Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon — And the Journey of a Generation at Sony with Lorenzo DiBonaventura producing. John Sayles is adapting the book for Jacobs to direct.

La Toya Jackson carried her black Louis Vutton purse and a greeting while taking a stroll in Beverly Hills. La Toya’s probably been out for the cameras more lately because sources are reporting that she plans to release a memoir about her famous brother, Michael Jackson.
USA Today reports:
Starting Over is set for release on June 21, and in the book, La Toya talks about her brother’s state of mind before he died on June 25, 2009.
In the book, she says she wondered, “Who killed Michael?” when she first learned of his sudden death. She claims that her brother had long been paranoid about someone killing him for money and control of his estate.
La Toya also writes that Michael’s daughter Paris told her that he cried a lot before he died and “was always cold.” La Toya goes on to say that after Michael died, she found a note in his bedroom that he had written to their father Joe Jackson, asking him to get “these people out of my life.”
