‘A Gifted Man’ Gets 3-Episode Back Order
CBS has ordered 3 additional episodes from modestly rated A Gifted Man, bringing the medical-ghost drama’s freshman season to 16 episodes. It is not clear what CBS plans to put in the low-trafficked Friday 8 PM time slot after A Gifted Man ends its run. The network is yet to schedule midseason drama The 2-2, but, judging by how A Gifted Man and Chaos struggled there, CBS will probably think twice before slotting another newbie in the hour. A Gifted Mam was the only new CBS series this fall that hadn’t heard about its fate via an episodic/script order or cancellation. A Gifted Man has been averaging a low 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 in the Friday 8 PM slot. But in total viewers, the series starring Patrick Wilson has been solid, most recently drawing 8.3 million viewers, more than double the audience of its nearest competitor in the hour. Of the other 4 freshman CBS series this fall, 2 Broke Girls, Person Of Interest and Unforgettable have been given full-season pickups, while How To Be A Gentleman was canceled.

Remember all those curiously staged candid appearances of these two out & about L.A. & NYC? Well, it was all done to help plug their new film dropping later this month on October 28. Hollywood beauties, Amanda Seyfried & Olivia Wilde, are set to star alongside Justin Timberlake in their latest film, “In Time.” Both ladies looked deliciously glamorous at last night’s big premiere at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.

In a retro-future when the aging gene has been switched off, people stop aging at 25 years old. However, stamped on their arm is a clock of how long they will live. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man is accused of murder when he inherits a fortune of time from a dead upper-class man over a century old prior to his death. He is forced to go on the run from a corrupt FBI-like police force known as the “Timekeepers”, as well as from a hoodlum-like middle-aged Mob called the “Minutemen”, led by a senior citizen named Fortis, who is 75 years old. Man Threatens To Jump Off New York's 30 Rock Before Surrendering
The usual bustle in the streets and sidewalks around New York’s famed Rockefeller Plaza was halted for about an hour this afternoon after an unidentified man scaled the glass wall of the building’s 66th-story observation deck and threatened to jump. Police and fire officials blocked off parts of 5th Avenue and West 50th St. as the man perched on the building’s ledge; he eventually surrendered to authorities, but not before throwing several items to the street below. An NBC producer told the New York Daily News that 30 Rock’s most famous tenant, NBC, had a live feed of the scene showing in one of the network’s newsrooms. “The office was incapable of working once we caught wind of this guy,” he said.
