We recently snapped Joe Jonas in Soho, but the bigger question here is: Are Jonah and Demi repairing their old relationship?

R.I.P. Joseph R. Aceti
The Directors Guild announced today that retired TV broadcast network sports director and DGA Lifetime Achievement recipient Joseph R. Aceti has died. Here is the statement by DGA President Taylor Hackford:
We are saddened to hear of the passing of Joseph R. Aceti, beloved DGA member and the ninth recipient of the DGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Direction. Joe received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006, capping a career that by all measures placed him in the pantheon of sports direction. Present at most of the seminal sporting events since the late 1960s, Joe worked for all four major networks on every type of major sporting event including: the 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980 and 1992 Olympic games; the 1990, 1991 and 1992 World Series and numerous Playoff Series; World Figure Skating Championship from 1983-1990; the U.S Open Tennis Tournament from 1984-87; NBA and NCAA basketball; NFL and collegiate football; Major League and Collegiate baseball; and 10 years of directing ABC’s Wide World of Sports with some 300 shows as the coordinating director. With 80 major boxing matches to his credit, Joe was also the guiding hand on broadcasts of some of the all-time greatest bouts, including: Ali vs. Frazier aka ‘
Toronto: ‘Friends With Kids’ And ‘Killer Joe’ Deals Getting Closer
EXCLUSIVE: The deal logjam here is on the verge of clearing up. Word is rampant that Lionsgate is tying down rights to the Jennifer Westfeldt-directed comedy Friends With Kids, with a deal worth upwards of $2 million for U.S. and five other territories. The ensemble comedy stars Westfeldt, 
Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Adam Scott as friends whose lives are altered when they start families. Cinetic and Red Granite are selling.
In another deal taking shape, Mickey Liddell will acquire rights to the William Friedkin-directed Killer Joe, the drama that made its Toronto debut Sunday. It is the first acquisition of the festival for Liddell, whose last year acquisitions included the Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu-directed Biutiful.
In Killer Joe, Emile Hirsch plays a drug dealer whose cash gets stolen by his mother and has to come up with $6000 or he’s dead. He hires Killer Joe (Matthew McConaughey) when he learns mom’s life insurance policy is worth $50,000. Joe usually demands his money up front but is flexible when the drug dealer offers his sister as sexual collateral. CAA and Voltage are selling the film.

Adrianne Palicki Joins 'G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes'
EXCLUSIVE: Friday Nights Lights series star Adrianne Palicki will play the female lead in the Paramount sequel to G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. She’ll play Lady Jaye and joins a cast that includes Channing Tatum, as well as Dwayne Johnson, who signed on to play the role of Roadblock in the Jon M. Chu-directed film. Ray Park is expected to reprise his Snake Eyes character, Byung Hun-lee is expected to bring back Storm Shadow, and RZA just joined the film. The studio’s casting quickly; they need the film for next summer because the Star Trek sequel won’t be ready and this rebooted film and World War Z are prime candidates to fill summer slots. The big question is who Paramount sets in the role of the original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton. I’ve heard Bruce Willis as a top choice, but last time I checked the studio was eyeing several actors, insiders said. Script’s by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing the Hasbro property.
As for Palicki, she’s free because the Wonder Woman pilot didn’t get picked up. She’ll next be seen starring in Red Dawn and her screen credits include Legion, Women in Trouble and Lone Star. She’s repped by UTA, Anonymous Content and David Fox.

For the first time since the announcement was made that Timbaland wants to work both him him and ex Demi Lovato (albeit not at the same time), Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers made an appearance out in Los Angeles. Unlike other strolls, he was not joined here by either girlfriend Ashley Greene or dog Winston — he was alone, but seemed more than content to go about his business.
As of this writing, Joe has yet to actually address the situation in regards to the popular music producer, possibly because he is already knee-deep in an upcoming solo project of his own. There has also been some talk of the Jonas Brothers teaming up again for another album later in 2011, though once again we are not looking at anything definitive in the way of an announcement.
As for Demi, we may hear something about the future of her music career as soon as she decided to step out following some time in treatment. To this point, she has been mroe than a little quiet.
