CW's 'Heavenly' Finds Male Lead, NBC's 'The Crossing' Taps Villain

British actor Ben Aldridge has landed the male lead in the CW supernatural drama pilot Heavenly. The project, from CBS TV Studios and writer Richard Hatem, centers on Lily, a dedicated young female attorney, and a former angel, Dashiel Coffee (Aldridge), only recently turned human, who tackle cases at the attorney’s legal aid clinic – she saves clients’ butts while he saves their souls. Hatem is exec producing with showrunner Rob Doherty and Mimi Leder, who will direct. Aldridge, repped by Industry and UK’s Hamilton Hodell, most recently starred on the BBC series Lark Rise to Candleford.
Bill Sage (Precious) has landed a co-starring role on NBC’s drama pilot The Crossing. Written by Josh Brand and directed by Peter Horton, The Crossing is set in a Missouri town during the post-Civil War Reconstruction era and centers on Jason (Martin Henderson), a Civil War soldier who crosses the country and settles into a complicated town where he is welcomed as its savior. Sage will play the Grey Ghost aka the Colonel, a disfigured former Colonel in the Confederate Army with prematurely grey hair who lives nearby in a sumptuously appointed cave – his base of operations to wreak terror on the townsfolk.
Angelina Jolies grey coat porn in Paris: boring or simply professional?
Here are new photos of Angelina Jolie in Paris, going into what is probably the first day of her junket for The Tourist. She appears to be wearing a rather beautiful grey coat over a pencil-skirt-and-sweater or a fitted dress. This is actually the best dressed Angelina has been in a while – [...]
SPOILER ALERT! Bristol Palin Loses 'DWTS'

After rousing the audience with a Dirty Dancing-inspired routine on Monday, Jennifer Grey was just crowned the winner of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Grey was the most accomplished dancer among the three finalists, and ended the improbable run of Bristol Palin, who started her freestyle dance routine in a cage Monday in front her mother Sarah Palin seated with the audience. Still, Bristol overcame her lack of dance expertise, mediocre marks from the judges,
media outcry over her narrow escapes from elimination, and even alleged death threats, to reach the finale of the hit ABC reality series which was held amidst heightened security. Palin, who trailed Grey and fellow finalist Kyle Massey in every round of judging, was eliminated first, with Grey named the winner minutes later. There hasn’t been this much attention surrounding the finale of a reality series since the maiden season of Survivor and the early cycles of Fox’s American Idol. The final Nielsen ratings for last night are in, and the Bristol Palin-fueled Dancing With The Stars (23.7 million, 4.9/13 in adults 18-49) posted the strongest results for a Dancing performance finale in six seasons, since the fifth cycle’s Monday finale in November 2007. (Dancing airs two cycles every broadcast season.) Versus last year, the show was up by 3.3 million viewers and by 23% in 18-49.

Every summer, Hollywood offices fill up with the sons and daughters and nephews and nieces of the entertainment industry’s major players. I’ve learned that Management 360 has just made a new hire right out of Brown for an entry-level position: Sam Grey, the son of Paramount chief Brad Grey. “He had an informational meeting with one of our managers who thought he was fantastic,” Management 360 tells me. “We offered him a mailroom trainee position this past week, and he has accepted. Sam starts with us in early August, and we’re looking forward to having him with us as we think [...]
