Victoria Beckham Joins Twitter
Victoria Beckham has taken the leap and joined the Twitterverse. Unlike Angelina Jolie’s Twitter account, Victoria is using her account and allowing followers.
“There have been so many people claiming to tweet as me I thought it was time for me to ‘tweet up,’ ”
Victoria has big plans for her Twitter account: she’s going to take us along with her during Fashion Week.
“I thought it would fun for people to see firsthand an inside look at my experiences during Fashion Week,” Beckham says.
I think it’ll be a lot of fun to see what she’ll Tweet – can you imagine the access she has during Fashion Week?
I’m excited to follow her, but I have to say that THE most important thing Victoria could Tweet so that I can die happy – A PHOTO OF HER CLOSET! I’m off to begin my campaign….

Uma Thurman and her boyfriend, financier Arpad Busson, were spotted leaving the Apple store in the Meatpacking district of NYC this afternoon. Uma’s son Levon and another boy were along with them. I’m guessing that the dark haired boy is either a friend of Levon’s or possibly one of Arpad’s two children?

Twitter Post Possibly Proves That Paris Lied About Purse?
Paris Hilton’s Twitter account might put a hole in her “wasn’t my purse story”. It seems that she posted a picture of a new Chanel purse she got back in July with the caption:
Love My New Chanel Purse I got Today. 
You can see the same purse in TMZ’s photo gallery. You know, taken on the night she was busted for cocaine possession with a purse she told police she borrowed from a friend.
Apparently the “not mine” story doesn’t work too often in Vegas, according to police spokesman:
“She’s being charged with possession, so it doesn’t matter if it’s hers or someone else’s,” Las Vegas police spokesman Officer Jay Rivera told E! News. “She’s the person in possession of it, so it doesn’t matter.”
A criminal defense attorney shared his opinion with E!:
“In my 17 years of practicing criminal defense law, I have never heard of the ‘it’s not my handbag defense’ actually working,”

Disney & TWC Reach Carriage Agreement
The deal came hours after the companies’ previous carriage agreement expired at midnight and days after the two sides announced they had made “significant progress.” The new pact includes carriage of Disney’s new Disney Jr. cable channel, which will replace SoapNet, and of Internet-based network ESPN3.com. Additionally, I hear the deal calls for retransmission consent fees for the 4 ABC O&O stations on TWC systems and fee increases for the existing Disney cable networks covered by the agreement. The new pact also includes expanded VOD services for TWC subscribers but they are not exclusive to the cable company. Here is the joint Disney/TWC release:

ABC Takes To 'The River' With 'Paranormal Activity' Filmmaker Oren Peli
You thought a suburban home was scary. How about the Amazon river? Oren Peli, the writer-director of the indie phenomenon Paranormal Activity, is bringing to primetime The River, a cinema verite-style thriller drama in the vein of Paranormal Activity set on a mysterious river. After a heated bidding between ABC and NBC, the project is close to landing at ABC with a rich put pilot commitment. The TV division of DreamWorks, the studio that discovered Israeli-born video game designer Peli and his $15,000 supernatural thriller Paranormal Activity that ended up grossing almost $200 million worldwide, is producing with ABC Studios. Peli hatched the idea for the project with veteran TV writer Michael R. Perry (Law & Order: SVU) who penned the upcoming Paranormal Activity sequel. Perry is writing the pilot script, with Peli possibly directing. Peli also is executive producing with his producing partners Jason Blum and Steven Schneider as well as Perry and DreamWorks TV’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. According to one description of the project floating around, The River follows the story of a famed adventuter/tv personality who goes missing and is presumed dead deep in the Amazon.
